If you use NE-CAT beamlines for your research work, you are required to acknowledge NE-CAT in your publications and cite our NIH grant number in your funding or acknowledgements section.  Our funding agencies use this as a criteria for evaluation of our beamlines. If space is limited, please use a shortened version of the acknowledgement, but be sure to mention the grant numbers. For example, this work used NE-CAT beamlines (GM124165), a Pilatus detector (RR029205), an Eiger detector (OD021527) at the APS (DE-AC02-06CH11357, DOI: ). Instruction on finding your beam time DOI is available at: https://www.aps.anl.gov/Users-Information/DOIs. You may exclude any equipment you did not use.  You may quote the following template:

If you collected data during the APS-U at NSLS-II (via the NE-CAT bag), please add our proposal number to the acknowledgement.

“This publication resulted from the data collected using the beamtime obtained through NE-CAT BAG proposal # 311950.”

As a condition of beam time, users agree to follow all applicable NIH policies, including:

• Data sharing. Users own the data they collect at NE-CAT and are responsible for sharing it and for its long-term storage, under the data management and sharing policies that apply to their own funding. NE-CAT keeps a copy of raw data on tape on a best-effort basis; it is not an archive of record.
• Public access. Peer-reviewed papers that result from NIH-supported work must follow the NIH Public Access Policy.
• Acknowledgement. Every publication which resulted from beamtime at NE-CAT must acknowledge NE-CAT by grant number.
